§ 2 INFORMATION ON DATA PROTECTION FOR OUR GENERAL PROCESSING ACTIVITIES

Purposes and legal bases of data processing

We process personal data collected in the course of our business relationship with you for the following purposes and on the following legal bases:

  • Based on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), for example, to send you our newsletter or marketing communications. You may withdraw your consent at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to the withdrawal. To revoke your consent, please use the contact options provided.
  • For the performance of a contract or to take steps to entering into a contract in accordance with (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR), for example, when handling inquiries or preparing offers.
  • To comply with legal obligations (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR), such as obligations under tax, commercial, or financial law applicable to our business.
  • For the purposes of our legitimate interests or those of third parties (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR), provided that your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms do not override these interests.

    Generally, we process your data to meet our contractual or legal obligations. Without this data, we are unable to provide our products or services. We do not engage in automated decision-making, including profiling, as defined by Article 22 of the GDPR.

    Legitimate Interests We Pursue

    When processing personal data based on our legitimate interests (in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), we pursue the following objectives:

    • Protecting the property and assets of our company;
    • Preventing disruptions, attempted fraud, and financial losses;
    • Optimizing our internal business processes and operational efficiency;
    • Promoting our products and services to enhance sales opportunities and customer engagement.

      Recipients of Personal Data

      Where required by law, we may disclose your data to public authorities and government bodies, such as tax authorities or Statistics Austria. If necessary to assert legal or financial claims, we may also share data with courts or legal counsel. To fulfill your orders, we may transmit selected data to logistics providers, delivery services, or payment service providers.
      When we engage processors, we remain responsible for ensuring the protection of your data. We do not sell or otherwise market your personal data to third parties. No data is transferred to third countries unless an adequate level of data protection is guaranteed.

      Duration of Data Storage

      We retain personal data in accordance with statutory retention and documentation obligations, particularly under the Austrian Federal Fiscal Code (BAO). Data related to completed transactions is stored for 7 years.
      Other personal data is retained until the end of the business relationship or the expiration of warranty, guarantee, or statutory limitation periods ⎯ generally up to three years after the last contact. In exceptional cases, data may be retained for a longer period if necessary to assert or defend legal claims.

       

      § 3 USE OF OUR WEBSITE – INFORMATION ON COOKIES AND DATA PROTECTION

      Below you will find out what information we may process when you visit our website or use our webshop:

      Access Logging
      When you visit our website, the following information is automatically transmitted by your browser or device and recorded by our servers:

      • the time of the request,
      • your device’s IP address,
      • your browser and its language settings,
      • your operating system,
      • the files requested, and
      • the referring page (referrer URL).

      We store this data in access logs, which are only reviewed in the event of technical issues. These logs are used exclusively to identify or protect against cyberattacks. They are not stored permanently and are deleted after a short retention period.

      Cookies and Social Media Plugins

      With your consent, certain data may be collected through cookies or social media plugins, primarily provided by third parties. More information is available from the respective providers listed below.

      Note on Data Transfer to the United States

      § 4 USE OF THIRD PARTIES AND EXTERNAL CONTENT

      Facebook Plugin

      Our website includes plugins from the social network Facebook, operated by Meta Platforms Inc., 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA.       When you visit a page on our site that includes a Facebook plugin, a direct connection is established between your browser and Facebook’s servers. Facebook thereby receives your IP address and information that you visited our site.

      Facebook Visitor Action Pixel

      Our websites uses the Facebook “Visitor Action Pixel” to track user behavior after clicking on Facebook ads that lead to our website. This enables us to analyze the effectiveness of our advertising and to optimize future campaigns.

      The data collected does not personally identify users. However, Facebook may store and process this data, potentially linking it to a specific user profile for their own advertising purposes.

      Hotjar

      We use Hotjar to better understand the behavior of our website users and to make targeted optimizations. Hotjar uses cookies to determine which pages or links users visit, how much time is spent on which pages, etc. For this purpose, IP addresses and technical information about user devices as well as data on user behavior are processed. You can block data collection by Hotjar by activating the "Do Not Track" setting in your browser.

      § 5 SOCIAL MEDIA

      We do not have access to personal data collected by social media platforms. To exercise your rights under data protection law (e.g., access, deletion, objection), please contact the respective platform directly.

      Meta (Facebook, Instagram):

      Data processing on our Facebook and Instagram pages is based on Meta Ireland’s Page Insights. We receive anonymous statistical data to improve our content and services. Only Meta has access to personal user data and is responsible for fulfilling GDPR obligations.

      We receive anonymized insights on video views and user interactions for analytical purposes. All personal data is processed by YouTube; please direct any privacy-related inquiries to them.

      Pinterest

      When visiting our Pinterest profile, data is transmitted to Pinterest and cookies may be set. If logged in, Pinterest may associate your visit with your user account and use the data for marketing and targeted advertising. We only receive aggregated statistics, not individual visitor data.

          § 6 YOUR RIGHTS AS A DATA SUBJECT

          As a data subject, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

          • Rectification: You may request correction or completion of inaccurate or incomplete data (Art. 16 GDPR).
